General translation refers to the translation of non-specialised texts that have no terminological or technical difficulties. The language used must also be clear and natural, without technical terms.
Most texts classified as general translation are journalistic texts, advertising texts, emails, letters, pamphlets, texts on tourism or gastronomy, news articles, travelogues, private or business letters and job applications, etc. In other words, texts of an informative nature that do not require the translator to have a high degree of specialization on a particular field of knowledge.
However, we select the most suitable translators for general translations; translators who have translated for the customer before, or who have a special preference for specific assignments.
